A feature in the March 2011 issue of Architectural Products magazine details how Leica Geosystems laser scanning services provider, 3D Laser Imaging, used their Leica HDS6000 laser scanner and Leica Cyclone and Leica CloudWorx software to create accurate, cost-effective Revit and Orthographic tif deliverables needed to plan the restoration of historic Saenger Theater, New Orleans, Louisiana. Project metrics (2-person field crew for three days to capture the 70,000 sq. ft theater) and workflows are described, along with guidance of how to best specify the level of detail needed for various client deliverables.
