POB editor Kristi Grahl reviews 2010 Leica HDS User Conference

A feature by POB editor Kristi Grahl provides a detailed review of the 2010 Leica Geosystems HDS Worldwide User Conference, held Oct. 25-27 in San Ramon, CA.
Noting that "the conference offered a good mix of education and networking opportunities" where "attendees were eager to share their insights", the article describes several highlights, including, CEO Juergen Dold's opening presentation. Dold provided attendees with his 2011 outlook and his view of the recent Intergraph acquisition by Hexagon AB and what users can expect to see in the future from this major development. The article notes that "making practical use of the technology" and "increased productivity and enhanced deliverables" were themes carried throughout the conference. The article also includes a listing of the six (6) announced 2010 winners and three sample plans from the 2010 HDS Plan Contest.
