Professional Surveyor editor TJ Frazier, veteran attendee of prior HDS Worldwide User Conferences, gives his views on Hexagon 2011, held June 6-9 in Orlando, FL

| This article notes that "the inaugural Hexagon conference was a strong success" that featured an insightful keynote by Hexagon CEO Ola Rollen and reflective Leica Geosystems keynotes by Juergen Dold, president of Hexagon Geosystems, and Ken Mooyman, president of Hexagon Geosystems NAFTA. The article identifies "common threads - measurement, design, and visualization technologies - that run through the Hexagon companies". The article also details a special forensic HDS/laser scanning workshop conducted at the Orlando Police Department shooting range. Highlighting the conference's over-arching theme of "Actionable Intelligence" and the conference's "strong networking events", editor Frazier concludes "...
